Kevin is the Founder and Director of Madden Accountants, which has become Madden Burgess Accounting following the partnership with David, bringing over 30 years of specialised experience in small to medium business taxation, accounting and advisory services. With a career built on technical expertise and long-standing client relationships, Kevin has become a trusted adviser to business owners across a wide range of industries.

As a Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA), Fellow of the Tax Institute of Australia, and Fellow of the National Tax and Accountants’ Association, Kevin’s depth of knowledge is well recognised within the profession. He is also a Xero Certified Advisor and a strong advocate for efficient, technology-driven solutions that streamline financial processes and improve business performance.

David has over 20 years of experience in senior finance roles within chartered accounting firms and major commercial organisations.

A Chartered Accountant with an MBA, specialising in accounting, taxation, and business advisory services, with experience across various industries, providing strategic financial guidance and practical solutions to help businesses achieve long-term success.

David grew up in Loxton and started his career as an accountant at Kevin Madden and Associates in 2000. He then moved to Adelaide in 2001 to further his studies at the University of South Australia, where he completed a Bachelor of Commerce with majors in Accounting and Commercial Law. He then completed the Chartered Accountants program while working at several prominent accounting firms in Adelaide before moving into the commercial sector, working as a Senior Financial Accountant at BlueScope Steel and then as the Group Accountant for Elders' head office, overseeing the live export division. 

An 18-month contract opportunity in North-Western Australia evolved into 12 years in Port Hedland and Broome, where he worked as the Finance Manager for Pilbara Ports, overseeing the world’s largest bulk export ports in Port Hedland, Dampier, Ashburton, and Varanus Island. He then took on the role of Chief Financial Officer for Kimberley Ports, managing the ports of Broome, Derby, Wyndham, and Yampi Sound.

Returning to Loxton in 2023, David is recognised for his client-focused, strategic approach, which blends innovation with practical solutions and a sincere commitment to helping clients reach their goals.
